The series stars Rust, Gillian Jacobs, Mike Mitchell, and Claudia O'Doherty. The original order for the series was two seasons on Netflix. On February 19, 2016, the first season, with 10 episodes, became available. The second season of 12 episodes was released on March 10, 2017. Netflix renewed the show for a third season just one month prior to the season's second premiere. Netflix announced on December 15th on the 15th of December that its 3rd season would be the last. The third season aired on March 9th, 2018, and provides a "down to earth" approach to dating. It explores male and female perspectives on relationships by focusing on the character of Mickey (played by Jacobs) and Gus (played by Rust). Mickey and Gus are two untrustworthy people both carrying significant emotional baggage, attempting to build trust with each other. Mickey is an alcohol addict, a love/sex addict or a cook, and someone who has a tendency to be dishonest with her and with others. Gus is awkward and emotionally dependent.
