Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington resides in the US and is a Greek-American writer, syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She's the co-founder and CEO of Thrive Global, as well being the author of 15 books. Arianna Huffington is an independent liberal news site, is a television personality author, author and charitable donor. Her birthplace was in Greece and relocated to England at age sixteen. In Cambridge University, she graduated with a MA of Economics. She was the first person who was not from the UK to become the president of The Cambridge Union at the age of 21. She became a syndicated conservative writer following the graduation ceremony and, when The Huffington Post launched a few years after, she created an online voice platform with a critique of current political scenarios. The fame she gained helped her to convince several famous people to share their opinions regarding current affairs, the culture and politics. Arianna became famous in 2003, when she ran as an independent in California recall elections in order to replace Governor Davis. Also, she was the head of a Detroit fuel-efficient car project. Forbes named her as the most influential woman in media in 2009. She ranked at 12th place on their list. The Guardian also included her on the top 100 list of media for 2009. AOL Inc. purchased The Huffington Post in 2011 and named her president of the media group that also includes the other AOL products like Engadget AOL Music Style list as well as Patch Media. Elli was born to Konstantinos Stasinopoulos and Elli, who are both journalist and management consultants. Even though she was close with father, her relationship to her mom shaped the course of her entire life. From her early years, she demonstrated leadership skills that remain highly respected. In the year she turned 16, she moved from the United States to the United Kingdom and enrolled Girton College Cambridge. During her college days she joined the college debating group Cambridge Union where she became the first foreign president and was also the third female president. Her graduation was in 1972 and she earned an MA in Economics. After the graduation ceremony, she became a journalist and TV host. In addition, she was a part of the series Face the music along with Bernard Levin and began writing books with editorial assistance from him.
