Winona-Ryder

Winona Laura Horowitz who is professionally known by the name Winona Ryder is a native of Winona Minnesota. Her parents named her after the town she grew up in. Michel Horowitz was her father and Cynthia Palmer, his mother was both an author and editors. Ryder's father came from the Jewish family. Ryder thinks she's Jewish. The actress is the youngest sister of Uria, and has half-siblings Jubal & Sunyata. Ryder's family moved to Mendocino County, California at the age of seven aged. The family was in a house that didn't have electricity. Ryder was a voracious reader who spent all of her time reading a book because she was not able to watch TV. Ryder began to study acting in the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983 in the year she turned 13 years old. In 1986, she was offered her first role on the big screen in the movie Lucas aged just 15 years old. Ryder was bullied at her high school. Her professional acting, she believed that it would aid her. However, it didn't occur. Still she continued pursuing the goals she had set. She got her break with Tim Burton's Beetlejuice in the year 1988. Ryder had a successful role in numerous films. In 1993 Ryder was twice nominated to win Academy Awards. One of them for her role on the film The Age of Innocence.
